New interface for NDACAN canDL Users Users of the Child Abuse and Neglect Digital Library will find that canDL has a New Look! * We are now using Zotero software to publish NDACAN citations. * Zotero is a free, open-source, web-based tool for managing citations and pdfs, and creating bibliographies. * Note: You do NOT need to log in or to register for a Zotero account to use canDL. Go to our canDL webpage at http://www.ndacan.cornell.edu/publications/publications.cfm Use the New canDL to: * Find research related to a dataset * View full-text articles (Availability based on subscriptions of your institution) * Find information on research and child maltreatment * Export citations or cite them in APA and other styles If you would like the Citations listed in APA (or another) style: * In the NDACAN Zotero canDL, check the citation or citations you want. * Click the 'Cite' button at the top right of the page (icon of 3 bulleted lines). * Select the 'Style' from the dropdown list. * Copy and paste the text into to a document. If you would like to create Your Own Personal Zotero Database: Click on https://www.zotero.org and follow the instructions to download. Note: You do NOT need to log in or to register for a Zotero account to use canDL. For Previous Users of RefWorks If you want to transfer your Personal RefWorks Database to Zotero, you will find instructions here, under: How do I transfer my RefWorks library to new software? Can I maintain my folder system and attached files? If you want to keep your personal RefWorks database, you can! To export citations from Zotero to your personal RefWorks library: * In the Zotero canDL, check the citation or citations you want. * Click the 'Export' button at the top right of the page (icon of envelope with arrow). * Choose 'BibTeX' format. * Save file to your computer in .bib format. * Open your personal RefWorks library, and click 'References', 'Import'. * For Import Filter/Data Source, select 'BibTeX'. * For Database, select 'Latex'. * For Select Text File, Click the 'Choose File' button and select your saved .bib file. * For Encoding, leave as it is (usually, 'ANSI - Latin I'). * Choose a folder in your library to import to. * Click the 'Import' button. If you would like to Import to another citation management software database, you can! * In the Zotero canDL check the citation or citations you want. * Click the 'Export' button at the top right of the page (icon of envelope with arrow). * Choose the format for your software and save the file with the correct extension. * Import per your software instructions.
