Subject:Re: Literature/practice on screening and addressing child/adolesent trauma in primary care/health care settings

You might want to reach out to the American Academy of Pediatrics Child Abuse and Neglect Committee to see if they have developed any protocols or recommended practice as well. Since you are in Pittsburgh, Dr. Rachel Berger could be a resource as well. I am looking for literature and sites addressing not only children’s mental health needs but also specifically trauma. I know of some of the literature addressing various children’s mental health needs and assessing adult/parental trauma (exposure/symptoms) but haven’t found anything on child/adolescent trauma. I’m interested in the literature and/or talking with anyone doing this.
