Subject:RE: Parent mentoring evaluation research?
We did an evaluation of a "parent-to-parent" program in child protection in New York City. There are two papers that have been recently published: Lalayants, M. (2014). Parent representation model in child safety conferences. Child Welfare, 92(5), 107-136. Lalayants, M. (2013). Parent engagement in child safety conferences: The role of parent representatives. Child Welfare, 91(6), 9-42. -------------------------------------------------------- Marina Lalayants, PhD, MPA Assistant Professor Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College 2180 Third Avenue (119th Street), Room 451 New York, New York 10035 Tel: 212-396-7550 E-mail: mlalayan@hunter.cuny.edu

Michelle,
We did a small evaluation of a Parent to Parent program in Washington state that might be helpful:
Summers, A., Wood, S. M., Russell, J. R., & Macgill, S. O. (2012). An evaluation of the effectiveness of a parent-to-parent program in changing attitudes and increasing parental engagement in the juvenile dependency system. Children and Youth Services Review, 34(10), 2036-2041.
Also, see here for one-page process and outcomes summaries:

Subject: Parent mentoring evaluation research?
Hi, we are looking for any evaluation research on the impact of child welfare parent mentoring programs (e.g., "Parent Partners"), for inclusion in a literature review. We have located a few studies, but there doesn't seem to be much in the published literature, so we wondered if anyone has unpublished results they are willing to share.
Thank you!
