________________________________ Doris Duke Fellowship “Cross-Generational” Networking Breakfast Date: Thursday, June 27, 2013, 7:00 AM in Conjunction With APSAC's Colloquium Registration Instructions: Please email Patricia Franklin, Fellowship Administrator, to let us know you would like to participate in the breakfast meeting (pfranklin@chapinhall.org or 773-256-5134). Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago invites doctoral students and early career scholars attending the APSAC Colloquium to join several leaders in the child abuse and neglect prevention field for breakfast on Thursday, June 27th. The primary purpose of this meeting is to facilitate an “inter-generational” discussion about career choices and research interests between those new to the field and those who have been engaged in this work for many years. Information also will be available on the Doris Duke Fellowships for the Promotion of Child Well-Being—seeking innovations to prevent child abuse and neglect. This initiative, now entering its fourth year, awards up to 15 fellowships each year to promising doctoral students in order to identify and develop a new generation of leaders capable of and committed to creating initiatives that will advance child abuse prevention practice and policy. Funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, the fellows receive an annual stipend of $25,000 for up to two years to support the completion of their dissertation and related research at their academic institution.
