Subject:Re: caseworker and child visitation

In Illinois, the standard is once per month if the child lives in a licensed foster home and twice per month if the child lives in an unlicensed, relative foster home. If the child is "specialized," the caseworker must visit the child 3 times per month. -----Original Message----- From: Glenn Higgins To: Child Maltreatment Researchers Cc: Child-Maltreatment-Research-L Sent: Sun, Feb 17, 2013 11:15 am Subject: caseworker and child visitation How often should caseworkers visit with children in foster care? Are there standards for this? Is there any relationship between visiting children in foster care and child or family outcomes? Thank you in advance. Glenn
