Here are some that you can start with. Most are parenting assessments. Adult- Adolescent Parenting Inventory (AAPI) Parenting Stress Index (PSI) Readiness to Change (REDI) Parenting Sense of Competence Scale (PSOC) Lutzker Home Saftey Checklist Family Resource Scale Resiliency Attitudes Scale (RAS) Social Provisions Scale (SPS) Caregiver History of Maltreatment/Trauma- Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) From: bounce-72512468-44267615@list.cornell.edu [mailto:bounce-72512468-44267615@list.cornell.edu] On Behalf Of Glenn Higgins Sent: Wednesday, December 12, 2012 1:53 PM To: child-maltreatment-research-l@list.cornell.edu Subject: home and parenting assessment I am looking for solid measures of the family home and parenting assessments to use in measuring progress and for decision making in considering reunification. What are the best ones? I am not a researcher but would like instruments that researchers agree are reliable and valid. I am basically interested in understanding if the home is a safe environment and whether adequate parenting skills are in place. GH
