Subject:Re: question about Differential Response in child welfare

Hi Kim and others- As part of my dissertation, I am currently putting together a database to track differential response implementation by county (including all counties in NCANDS), by implementation date. This way, I can track states that piloted in some counties first and then rolled DR out state-wide. I also am recording situations like in FL, where DR was stopped and then piloted again. I am tracking/differentiating between jurisdictions that do "true" DR (as defined by the QIC) and DR-like initiatives. I have used the QIC resources as a starting place,(http://www.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/medicalschool/departments/pediatrics/subs/can/DR/qicdr/Pages/Resources.aspx) but am also going through state laws, online resources, evaluation documents, etc. (and will probably be speaking with state contacts when needed). It is not complete yet, but I hope to finish soon. It is just an excel spreadsheet right now, and anyone interested in using it (or helping me compile it!) can contact me directly- I would hate for anyone to reinvent the wheel and am happy to share.
