Subject:RE: Differential Response

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families began implementation of DRS in April of this year. It's too early to have any results to speak of, but you might want to check back in a year or so if you are still interested. I am hoping to introduce the concept of DR to Japan and the shift from the investigation based system for the recent acute rise of child abuse/ neglect cases in Japan. I have been studying on Illinois project for the last three years, and would love to know about DR in the other states, too. Would anyone introduce me to other states (possible any provinces in Canada) who are successfully proceeding DR? I would love to visit agencies who actually have contracts in DR program and would love to know the actually procedures of how they have the alleged families engage in the program on the first stage. After all, I would really want to know if this too-good-to-be –true program actually works and get the evidence of it. Any link or any connection to information of DR would be appreciated (especially since it is hard to get them from overseas) . Thank you!!!
