Subject:Program chair position-child clinical specialization preferred

Program Chair: Clinical Psychology. The School of Psychology at Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for the position of Program Chair of the Clinical Psy.D. program, starting August 2012. The Chair will offer leadership and vision for continued growth and development of the practitioner-scientist mission of our APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program. Chair responsibilities include: program administration; academics; recruitment, evaluation and supervision of faculty and the Director of Clinical Training; student affairs; and representing the program to the college, the university and the profession. Some teaching and research in field of specialization is expected. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an APA-accredited program, be licensed or license eligible in the state of Florida, and have a strong record of leadership and scholarly achievement commensurate with the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Field of specialization is open. The Clinical Psy.D. program was established in 1980, and has been continuously accredited by the APA since 1983. There are 7 full-time clinical faculty and 5 affiliated faculty. The School of Psychology maintains a new on-campus psychology clinic which serves as the first practicum site. There are four concentrations - child/family, integrated health, neuropsychology and forensic psychology - that provide advanced academic and practicum experience. There is a positive working environment and existing collaborations with the behavioral analysis program in the area of autism treatment.
