Subject:Call for Research and Outcomes Presenations on Foster Care

Call for Research and Outcomes Presentations 26th Annual Conference on Treatment Foster Care Deadline: January 23, 2012 The Research Committee of the Foster Family-based Treatment Association (FFTA) has issued a Call for Research and Outcomes Presentations for a Research Track that will be held in conjunction with the FFTA 26th Annual Conference on Treatment Foster Care. The conference will be held July 22-25, 2012 in Atlanta, GA. The conference brings together over 700 private and public child welfare agency CEOs, clinicians, program directors, social workers, researchers, evaluators, trainers, and treatment foster parents and provides a forum for sharing best practices that are being used in Treatment Foster Care and related family-based services. The purpose of the Research Track is to bridge the gap between research and practice across the spectrum of child welfare and children’s mental health services and help practitioners and agency directors improve outcomes for children and youth served in out-of-home care. For more information, visit http://www.ffta.org/conference/2012_researchcall.pdf Examples of past research presentations can be found on the website www.ffta.org This is a very welcoming group and for some of the attendees, one of the few avenues to hear about research.
