Subject:AFCARS Foster Care Data in the News

Traffic on the list has been slow lately as classes were winding down and people were preparing for the holidays, so I thought I would share a blog post from our Cornell colleague Pam Baxter. Pam has recently retired as the Archivist from the Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research, and she periodically posts to her blog, Data in the News . Recently, Pam highlighted the use of the AFCARS foster care data for NPR's October series on American Indian children in foster care. She provides some links to good sources of information. You can read the post at http://blogs.cornell.edu/datanews/2011/12/16/where-are-the-kids. Thanks and happy holidays to everyone on the CMRL. Elliott -- Elliott G.
