Subject:Assessment of Runaways for Sexual Abuse

I am working on a project of examining tools that could be implemented by law enforcement to screen for abuse, substance use, or mental health problems when they come into contact with a runaway youth. I know that there are validated tools for each of these categories but does anyone know of a tool that captures these three areas that commonly occur or co-occur in this population? Also, does anyone have knowledge of a law enforcement agency that has a program that regularly screens runaway youth for abuse/assault prior to placing the youth back at home or in a shelter. Thank you, Laurel Edinburgh, MSN, PNP Children's Hospital and Clinics of MN Midwest Children's Resource Center 347 N.
