The Field Center for Children's Policy, Practice & Research at the University of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce its fifth biennial conference, One Child, Many Hands: A Multidisciplinary Conference on Child Welfare. The Field Center’s Faculty Directors, Richard J. Gelles, PhD, Cindy W. Christian, MD, Cynthia Connolly, PhD, RN, FAAN, and Kara Finck, Esq., representing the University of Pennsylvania’s Schools of Social Policy & Practice, Medicine, Nursing, and Law, look forward to another conference in which promising policy, research, and practice in child welfare is shared with a multidisciplinary audience.
One Child, Many Hands: A Multidisciplinary Conference on Child Welfare is issuing a Call for Papers. Proposed presentations are solicited which advance the field of child welfare from the perspective of a variety of disciplines. Scheduled for June 12 - 14, 2013, this national conference will be held at University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine Translational Research Center on Penn's Philadelphia campus, with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as lead community sponsor.
Proposals need to include a cover sheet, maximum 25 word abstract, and maximum 500 word overview. Cover sheets and criteria for submission and review can be accessed through the following link:
