Author:Hurst, Tamara

Subject:Child recantation protocol

Greetings, I am interested in knowing if any jurisdictions have an established protocol that provides guidance and options on what to do when a child recants before, during or after a child sexual abuse trial. If so, is the protocol part of the state-wide child abuse protocol or is it specific to your jurisdiction? I am looking for documented protocols, as opposed to general non-written agreements as to what should occur following a recantation. Please contact me directly via email if you have case studies or comments you would like to share. Thank you for your help.
