I thought this might be of interest to those doing Bullying Prevention.

Barb,

I thought your network of chapters might be interested in our annual

Training for Trainers. Our evidence based positive school climate program

of Bully Proofing Your School is one component of preventing child abuse.



Creating Caring Communities' annual Training for Trainers takes place June

15-18 in Denver, CO . Register now so you can bring Bully Proofing Your

School to your district or community.



Bullying prevention programs are proven to improve school climate which

leads to:

* Positive school engagement (decreased dropout rates)

* Improved academic achievement and test scores.



I have included an application and information sheet as attachment.

Register by May 8th and we will take $200 off the registration fees. This

year's training is for dual certification (elementary-middle or middle-high

school).



Training includes:

* Research overview of bullying prevention and BPYS

* Key concepts and curriculum

* Roundtable discussions:

* Cyberbullying

* Positive Behavior Supports and Bully Proofing- complementary

programs

* Implementation Strategies

* Panel presentation: Successes & Challenges of BPYS- Wisdom from

the Frontlines

* Hands on lesson planning and feedback

* Cutting edge techniques for increased audience engagement and

effective training

Register by May 15th and receive one of the following incentives complements

of Creating Caring Communities:

. For metro Denver only, a free Parent Education Forum at your

school or community organization providing Bully Proofing information,

strategies and tips to help families support their children

. Outside metro Denver, a free one hour phone consultation on

bullying prevention.
