Nine projects will be selected to receive up to $110,000 a year for each of five years to provide traineeships for students and to strengthen their child welfare curriculum. The Request for Proposals (RFP) for this grant is attached. The proposals are due on February 13, 2009. Eligible applicants include accredited BSW or MSW programs in public and private colleges and universities (including Historically Black and Tribally controlled colleges). Programs in candidacy are not eligible. The RFP and a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document will also be posted on the website for the National Child Welfare Workforce Institute (www.NCWWI.org) by the end of the calendar year. On behalf of the NCWWI leadership team, we encourage you to share this RFP with relevant faculty members and colleagues in Social Work education. Thank you.
