Subject:Re: materials on prosecuting cases

Hi Wendy, I would be interested in viewing your video. I work with children in foster care. I’m also a legislative advocate for children’s issues . I’m currently working with the Governors office and legislators in New York to pass legislation called the Child Child’s Victims Act .I would be happy to send more info on the CVA bill. This bill passed in the Assembly but has been repeatedly stalled in the Senate. We are constantly questioned by Senators on recovered memory’s of child sexual abuse . I think your video might be. helpful in educating people on this issue . In English. Shows adult survivors talking about what happened to them and how they re-remembered; experts (including Bessel van der Kolk, Judith Herman, Ruth Lanius, Roland Summit, many more giving the science behind why and how people forget) I can send you the link on vimeo if you like.. They have just set up a child sexual abuse tribunal where they will be attempting to prosecute cases--some from as long as almost 20 years ago. Some more recent. Prosecutors who have relatively little experience with this kind of crime are suddenly doing a lot of cases and would benefit from materials. Please feel free to contact me alone at: LFontes@RCN.com Many thanks, Lisa Fontes, Ph.D.
