Subject:Psychological maltreatment or emotional abuse in residential settings

I am a new graduate student at the University of Florida developing researchable questions for my thesis. I’m interested in the topic of psychological maltreatment, or emotional abuse, in residential treatment settings. I would like to develop research that explores the relationship between systemic factors (such as regulation and oversight) and environmental factors (such as program design and actual content of treatment). I’d also like to compare these factors with the prevalence of emotional/psychological harm. Are there datasets that capture systemic, environmental, and emotional/psychological aspects of institutional child abuse in the United States? Any advice is welcome.
