Subject:Invitation for Abstracts - National Citizen Review Panel Conference; Anchorage, AK; May 10-12, 2017

Hello, Attached is an invitation for abstracts for the National CRP Conference. Citizen Review Panels (CRPs) are mechanisms for public participation, mandated by federal statute, to review the policies, procedures, and practices of state and local child protective services (CPS) systems. There are more than 340 panels across the country. The 16th National Conference in Anchorage, Alaska, will bring together volunteer CRP members, CRP staff, CPS staff, researchers in child protection, and many practitioners from many other allied fields. The theme of the conference:Citizen participation in child protection: Common goals, many paths. The conference focuses on ways and means to design and implement public participation in child protection, and associated challenges. CRPs straddle the common ground between child protection, volunteering, and human service administration. Interdisciplinary focus is highly encouraged. You can find more about CRPs at http://www.cantasd.org/crp.html. Deadline for submission is Dec 16, 11:59 PM EST. Please feel free to contact me for questions. Thank you, Diwakar Vadapalli Assistant Professor of Public Policy Institute of Social and Economic Research University of Alaska Anchorage 3211 Providence Drive, Anchorage, AK 99508 907-786-5422 (ph)
