Re: curriculum to prepare adoptive parents for extended family structure

I work for a state social services agency in SC. We need education material
for our new parents. With the passage of the Adoption and Safe Family Act
of 1997, social service agencies are mandated to try to place children with
families first, if
appropriate, before adopting outside the family. This will change the
family structure of those families accepting a relative's child, eg. a grand
child, niece, etc. We want to be able to prepare those familes to parent
the best interests of the child while facing an extended changed family
structure. We need a education material to help educate these families.
Does anyone have a curriculum they could share that may help us?
