Initial mental health screening

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma">A government study (2002) of the mental health of young people looked after by local authorities in England found that </SPAN>45% were assessed as having a mental disorder: 37% had clinically significant conduct disorders; 12% were assessed as having emotional disorders – anxiety and depression – and 7% were re rated as hyperactive. </P>
