Consider the Healthy Families America program, which works to prevent child abuse and neglect by providing intensive home visiting and case management programs to families who appear to be at high risk for child abuse and neglect. You can reach them via the internet (look for the National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse or Prevent Child Abuse America, their new name). The program model has been evaluated many times at the county and state level.
