RE: Books/articles on Shame

Toni,

Allan Schore has some very interesting points on the emotion of shame in early development in his book "Affect Dysregulation and the Repair of the Self". I also like Marsha Linehan's persepctive on shame in her DBT-book.
Both help recognize the underlying dysregulation in the emotion and the need for self-attunement and self-soothing, as well as the potential need to reconceptualize one's Self in a more realistic way.

Subject: Books/articles on Shame

I would like suggestions of books on shame related to making mistakes/
bad choices related to relationships and how to move on from the
shameful feelings.  The readers will be educated women.  Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
