ITP = Idiopathic Thrombocytopaenic Purpura. Results from a reduction of platlets presumably the result of a viral illness. dx = diagnosis. Could people please spell out their acronyms? I figure that MSBP is Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy, and MMR might be measles, mumps and rubella vaccine, but I'm clueless about ITP. Another author refered to dx, which someone might not know is an abbreviation for diagnosis. Clarity helps.
