Hi, fellow child health enthusiasts: I am just linking up with this list and have found the topic on attachment most interesting. I am a graduate student in counseling/psychology and just beginning to seriously give thought to my final document. My area of interest is the biochemical effects of childhood trauma on a child's personality development. This is rather broad and have been considering doing research in the area of attachment and day-care. With so many primary caregivers having to go to work today, many infants and toddlers on spending much of their time in a multi-child care facility where there is limited one-on-one interaction. Does anyone on this list have any suggestions on where to find possible information on research being done on the effects of this type of child-rearing on attachment and/or ultimate personality development, particularly research on possible links to brain chemistry influence which may lead to personality disorders. I would appreciate any help or suggestions anyone can give me. Cindy Ridgway
