The point about sampling (with regard to the controversy surrounding the meta-analysis of CSA studies) is outstanding. First of all, use of college students necessitates *retrospective* reporting of past abuse experiences, a strategy that raises numerous questions about the accuracy and completeness of information pertaining to the relevant independent variable (i.e., CSA). Second, as Jerry Jensen points out, college students de facto are experiencing some level of success. As a result, it is questionable as to whether they are representative of the population of CSA victims. Michael Lynch, Ph.D. Mt.
