Colleagues: I am told that under the state Medicaid provisions additional funds can be made available to recipients as a result of having an eligible disability (bona fide learning disability, etc). The recipient receives additional monies for supplemental educational / rehabilitative services. I need to know how to find out what section of the Medicaid provisions spells out the criteria for eligibility and what assessment protocol may exist. Or, I need to identify the federal legislation and state enabling legislations ..... (a phone number would be nice :-) ) I understand that there is a national organization, "Maximus," that has been conducting such evaluations and, when positive, following through with the paperwork to assure receipt of benefits. I have identified this organization's (Maximus) local contact data but suspect that it would be `bad form' for me to contact them unless I had the intention of using their services. Any and all assistance would be appreciated. I will post to this/these list/lists any and all relevant information when (and if) I receive it. Thanks in advance for your help. (Now.
