issue of the journal <b><i>Child Maltreatment</i>:</b></font>

<br><font size=2 face="Arial"><b>Using Technology to Address Child Maltreatment:
Prevention, Intervention, and Research </b></font>
<br><font size=2 face="Arial"> </font>
<br><font size=2 face="Arial">This special issue of the journal <i>Child
Maltreatment</i> will feature papers that advance our understanding of
the role that technology is playing, or can play, in the field of child
maltreatment. We are soliciting manuscripts that examine or discuss the
use of technology in child maltreatment prevention and intervention, as
well as in child maltreatment research in general (e.g. technological advances
in assessment and data collection). This special issue will be peer
reviewed and guest edited by Shannon Self-Brown, PhD and Daniel Whitaker,
PhD from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Violence
Prevention. </font>
<br><font size=2 face="Arial"> </font>
<br><font size=2 face="Arial"><b>Submission deadline: October 30, 2007</b></font>
<br><font size=2 face="Arial"> </font>
<br><font size=2 face="Arial">Empirical submissions should be no more than
30 double-spaced pages, inclusive of all tables, figures, and references,
and be in APA format; reviews should be limited to 50 pages. Brief
reports are also welcome and should be no more than 14 double-spaced pages.
Include in all submissions an abstract of approximately 150 words. Submissions
should be prepared according to the guidelines in the Publication Manual
of the American Psychological Association (5th edition). Submission to
Child Maltreatment implies that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere,
and is not under consideration by any other journal; a statement to this
effect should be included with the submissions. All manuscripts should
be submitted electronically via Manuscript Central at the website below.
