CLARIFICATION RE: research on link between family strength and recidivism
Someone kindly asked me for further explanation on what type of recidivism I'm
looking for - my apologies as I was too much in my own head to realize this
wouldn't be readily recognized by everyone else : )
The kind I'm looking for is prison recidivism. We're looking to start up some
fathering programs within prisons and are under the impression that there is
some research that points to the fact that prisoners who have strong family
connections are less likely to go back to prison. If we can make the case that
our program will help build/strengthen these family connections, we're hoping
that might open some doors for us.
Thanks again for any references, links, etc.
