I am trying to figure out how many states have centralized reporting and screening of child protection reports. I am not looking at hotlines that supplement primarily local receipt of reports. Instead, I am looking for the number of states with a single statewide phone number that all reporters call to make reports, and that has workers screening the reports (whether or not they do investigations as well). Does anybody know of any study or other resource where this has been tallied? I have tried the OCAN Clearinghouse, NAPCWA, and a few other leads but haven't found anything yet. Please feel free to reply to me directly. Thank you. **************************************************** Margaret Trostel Ayers Research Associate James Bell Associates ayers@xxxxxxxxxxx
