Definitions would be nice

Hello,
    I'm doing a report on child abuse, and would also like to see the
official definition of what child  abuse, neglect, maltreatment, etc
is.  Maybe if it was more well known, the definition, more reports would
be turned in.  You see, many times the abused do not know they are being
abused or neglected.  The same goes for adults that have been brought up
in the same environment that they are now putting their own children
thru.  I personally have talked to my grandchildren and gave them a
detailed definition of what molestation means.  It is not rape, and they
didn't know this.  I was a victim of being molested when I was 6 yrs old
and didn't realize that I was molested till I was 44 yrs old!
    Please get the official definitions out on the web, at least, and
perhaps to the public.
