endeavor&nbsp;(unless you consider a verbal statement about abuse to be a 
behavior).&nbsp; You probably want to read the old article by Jon Conte and Lucy 
Berliner published several years ago in Child Abuse and Neglect about the 
problems with the "sign"&nbsp; or "red flag" approach.&nbsp; The problem is that 
CSA onset may have&nbsp;no clear behavioral sequelae, or the behaviors can vary 
widely and most of them can have so many other, and more common, causes that 
they have very low specificity.&nbsp; Highly atypical sexual behaviors&nbsp;in 
young children&nbsp;are usually regarded as a clear cause for inquiring further 
with the child about possible abuse, although by themselves would not be 
considered diagnostic of abuse.&nbsp;&nbsp; </FONT></DIV></DIV>
