RE: Child Neglect and Poverty/Benefits Across Countries

Naomi,
If you contact john.williams@community.nsw.gov.au he can probably help
with some background from NSW, Australia. He is currently writing the
NSW Department of Community Services policy on neglect.
Good luck,

Subject: Child Neglect and Poverty/Benefits Across Countries

I am working with a professor on a study examining the
relationship between child neglect and poverty across
four countries; Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom,
and the United States. Is anyone aware of literature
that discusses the issues of child neglect and
poverty/benefits across these counties? Does anyone
know of secondary data sets available on this topic in
these countries? I am aware that the US has the NIS
and NCANDS studies and that Canada has the CIS. Thank
you in advance for you help.

Sincerely,
