I hope this is helpful, I work for the court system in NYS and have had the opportunity to work with the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, they do a considerable amount of court observations and research. They may be able to help you answer your question. One of the people at the National Council you can contact is Shirley Dobbin. You can find them on the web.
