A.) Helping police officers interact with persons with disabilities-
Curricular issues for training, Presented by Jim McAfee, Special Education
Program Manager, Penn State University

Police officers are likely to encounter persons with significant
disabilities in the course of their duties. Yet, few states provide
disability training for police officers. This session will address the
content of two curriculum guides (for victims and others involved in the
criminal justice system) developed by the presenter and field tested on more
than 1000 police officers in the US and other nations.
