Several conferences I've attended will provide overhead and slide projectors, along with a sound system. They then require presenters to pay for any additional media equipment that may be required. The reason for this is that hotels charge astronomical fees for this equipment, which means that conference registration fees could end up being prohibitively high. Why not print out the Powerpoint slides on transparencies and use the (free) overhead? Peter Barach
