Reminder Call for Narratives

<x-flowed>
Dear Colleagues,

I want to remind you of the following call for narratives regarding the
research you have done.

CALL FOR NARRATIVES: SPECIAL ISSUE - Reflections: Narratives of
Professional Helping

See http://www.csulb.edu/depts/socialwk/reflections/home.htm for info on
submission style and procedures

Deadline: May 1, 2005

Reflections: Narratives of Professional Helping is seeking narratives that
explore worker, student, faculty, and other researchers' experiences in
designing, executing, or participating in studies carried out in community
settings or which directly inform social practice or policy.

These narratives should address THE REWARDS, FRUSTRATIONS, CHALLENGES, and
TRIBULATIONS of doing research "on the ground." Narratives may address:

1) experience in any or all of the stages of research, including
problem formulation, design, execution, analysis, dissemination and
utilization.

2) any type of study, including exploratory, descriptive or
causal. Narratives that report experiences in evaluation studies,
including needs assessments, process/implementation evaluations, outcome
evaluations, or cost analyses are particularly welcome

3) studies using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method
approaches

4) studies carried out using traditional, participatory, action,
utilization-focused, theory driven, or other approaches or combination of
approaches

5) research carried out in single or multiple sites

6) studies in any field of practice

7) studies that had positive, negative, null, or mixed findings

8) studies in which the narrator had satisfactory, mixed, or
unsatisfactory experiences
