I. STUDENT DISSERTATION AWARD 

This $400.00 award is given to a completed doctoral dissertation that
focuses on issues related to social policy, service delivery, welfare,
and/or advocacy for children, youth and families. Papers are judged on
the following 5 dimensions: 

1. Scientific, technical, or clinical importance 
2. Originality/creativity of work 
3. Adequacy of research design and methods 
4. Quality of conclusions 
5. Overall quality of written presentation 

To apply, students should submit their completed, approved dissertation
electronically along with an electronic copy of the signed cover sheet.
Applicants must be members of APA Division 37 to apply (go to
http://www.apa.org/divisions/div37/grad.html for membership info).



The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2005. Dissertations completed
within the previous 12 months (April 1, 2004 and March 31, 2005) are
eligible.
