RE: victim disclosure changes question

Dr. Wolfe- What do you mean by institutional abuse?  Would that be the same thing as abuse of individuals who reside in or are served by institutions?  Seriously-I'm confused.

Subject: Institutional Abuse

Colleagues:

Does anyone have an interest or special expertise in institutional abuse? We are looking for studies, govt. reports, clinical observations, etc. as part of a literature review on this topic, including institutions such as educational, recreational, religious, military, and special needs (mental health, corrections, and social services).

Although these encompass broad areas, there are few studies we can find that specifically look at the impact of abuse in such contexts (other than familial/extra-familial). We are preparing a “conceptual model” which we would like to share with interested parties for their input as well.

Thanks
