request for child abuse advocacy resources

Colleagues,

I am seeking resources about advocacy efforts for children who are 
physically abused or neglected.  I am most interested in books, chapters, 
or articles that provide overviews of the main advocacy efforts in the U.S. 
(e.g., what are the major organizations and how do they function together; 
what are the present and desired future directions of these efforts).  Any 
references would be appreciated.
