HELP: Traditional Parent Aide Programs
<x-flowed>
George Bryan, from Exchange-SCAN in Winston Salem, NC, did heroic
work a few years ago in developing a directory of Parent Aide
programs around the country. Unfortunately, that list is
out-of-date. I've been asked to poll this list for updated
information.
Traditional parent aide programs involve trained aides who work
directly with families identified by CPS. Hence, they are a tertiary
prevention resource. (http://preventchildabuse.com/parent./htm)
There are about 100 such programs operating under the auspices of
Exchange Club child abuse prevention programs throughout the USA.
We are looking to identify any parent aide programs that work
directly with CPS families *other* than the Exchange programs.
If you have information, please reply with:
Program Name
Street Address
City, state, ZIP
Phone
Contact person (if known)
e-mail
This request is part of an effort to reach out and gather such
programs into a renewed national network of support. Your help is
much appreciated!
