RE: Incest prevalence in general population
Stephanie:
For our own interest, we have just been looking at the U.S. Department of
Health and Human Services Child Maltreatment 2001 report statistics of
Perpetrators by Relationship to Victim and Types of Maltreatment, 2001
(child file) (p. 50). Although this does not break down by "incest" or
intrafamilial sexual abuse, it does give the numbers for reported
maltreatment broken down by the relationship of the perpetrator for you to
calculate. At this point we are still trying to determine what
relationships are included in the "other" category.
Maybe this will help you.

Does anyone know of any data in the last 5 years looking at incest
prevalence in the general population?
