There is an article in Child Abuse and Neglect:

Oates, R. K., Jones, D.P.H., Denson, A., Sirotnak, A., Gary, N., & Krugman, 
R. (2000). Erroneous concerns about child sexual abuse. Child Abuse & 
Neglect, 24(1), 149-157.

However, knowing with certainty that an allegation is intentionally false 
is a genuine research challenge. There are no empirically derived criteria 
for an intentional false allegation.
