RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (MA-level) or research<br>
(non-tenure-track) assistant professor (PhD-level) to<br>
contribute to the evaluation of grant-funded<br>
comprehensive community initiatives to increase social<br>
capital, strengthen families, and/or enhance community<br>
service systems, especially informal support.<br>
Principal current project (Gary Melton, PI) is a<br>
multi-year community-wide effort to <b>prevent child<br>
maltreatment</b>.&nbsp; Master’s degree in a social science or<br>
public health required; doctorate preferred.&nbsp; Requires<br>
expertise in design and implementation of field<br>
research and in consultation to community<br>
organizations; expertise in evaluation of<br>
community-level change and analysis of administrative<br>
data sets desirable.&nbsp; Position based in Upstate SC;<br>
must be able to travel to other SC communities and to<br>
begin work by autumn.&nbsp; Publication and grants history<br>
desirable.&nbsp; By August 1, send letter summarizing<br>
