Re: Educational performance of child sexual abuse victims
<x-html>

Most studies on the educational effects of maltreatment don't examine
maltreatment type separately, and those that do tend to suffer from
extremely small cell sizes. A good exception to the rule is:

Eckenrode, J., Laird, M., & Doris, J.
(1993). School performance and disciplinary problems among abused and
neglected children. Developmental Psychology, 29 (1), 53-62.

They found that sexually abused children didn't differ significantly from
non-maltreated children with regard academic achievement and school
disciplinary problems.
there are educational
problems--i.e.. low cognitive functioning or poor reading ability. But

poor math
performance.
