RE: measuring family empowerment
Hi Ray!
In addition to the excellent suggestion to look at the McCubbbin et al. book
on Family Assessment, you might want to visit the web site at the Family
Research Laboratory at UNH. They have a lisitng of publications and
methodology.
I just came across a reference I had for an article on identifying elements of
Empowering Families by Saunders and Duncan (1995) Behaviour Change 12(2)
109-121.
WIll keep your search in mind,

One of the claims made about family group conferencing is that it empowers
families. I am looking for ways to operationalize empowerment as a research
concept. Is anyone aware of any studies, scales, surveys, questionnaires,
etc. that has looked at this specific aspect of family identity, morale,
functioning, etc?
