Try Maton's mutual support scale. There are four items on a "provide support" scale and five on a "receive support" scale. <BR>

Contact Margaret Bendersky (bendersk@umdnj.edu). Her group has used a measure
of social support in their longitudinal study of prenatal cocaine exposure.
Besides having good psychometrics, you will have the added advantage of using a
measure that has been used with a large minority, poverty population, and on
which there is long-term stability information.
