Re: measuring family empowerment

I received this info from a colleague of my by the name of Tonya glantz at the RI Child Welfare Institute.

I have done some work with Leslie Wilmont at the American Humane Association. She did training for us on Family Group Decision Making last year and can point the person in the right direction - I'm sure she has access to lots of research info.

The email is Lesliew@Americanhumane.org

Good luck

I am doing research on family group conferencing for my PhD dissertation. One of the claims made about family group conferencing is that it empowers families. I am looking for ways to operationalize empowerment as a research concept. Is anyone aware of any studies, scales, surveys, questionnaires, etc. that has looked at this specific aspect of family identity, morale, functioning, etc?
