Visiting Senior Research Specialist Children & Family Research Center (CFRC) School of Social Work University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign The CFRC is a unit in the School of Social Work established in collaboration with the Illinois Dept. of Children & Family Services (DCFS) to identify and monitor service outcomes and encourage child welfare research in Illinois. These positions report to the CFRC Director. Responsibilities include: develop, coordinate and oversee ongoing and new research projects, working with CFRC staff, faculty, PhD students, DCFS staff, private agencies, and others. Minimum qualifications: PhD in social work or related area and 3 years experience conducting social science research; substantial expertise in directing data collection; expertise in areas of child welfare research, child health issues, child development research, nutrition education, juvenile justice or juvenile court procedures; knowledge of advanced statistics; and excellent communication skills. Two temporary, full-time positions are anticipated. Start date is as soon as possible after closing date. Positions are grant-funded, academic professional positions, which will continue through June 30, 2002. Renewal will be contingent upon funding availability. Positions may become regular at a later date. Salary: commensurate with experience.
