Please forward this to anyone you think might be interested. Thank you.

The Family Translational Research Lab (FTRL), Department of
Psychology, State University of New York at Stony Brook is announcing four
position openings (see advertisements below). The FTRL is directed by Drs.
Richard Heyman and Amy Smith Slep. Research focuses on understanding the
processes and mechanisms that contribute to family violence, translating
these findings into more effective intervention and prevention initiatives,
and evaluating their effectiveness. Currently, we have six active
federally-funded projects. Our two newest projects include (a) evaluating a
social learning-based, microsocial model of intra- and interpersonal anger
regulation during partner conflict, and (b) evaluating an innovative
surveillance system for tracking prevalences of family maltreatment,
suicidality, and substance problems; developing a prevention-science-based
community-level prevention program for these problems, and evaluating the
program's effectiveness in US Air Force communities. For more information
about the lab, please contact Drs. Slep (amy.slep@sunysb.edu) or Heyman
(richard.heyman@sunysb.edu), or Ms. Van Dyke, the lab manager.
